Codes found on select Yoplait product lids can also be redeemed online. For each pink lid received, General Mills will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R), up to $2,500,000. General Mills has already donated $500,000 and will donate up to an additional $2,000,000 based on lids submitted, codes entered online and other consumer actions. (Photo: General Mills)

MINNEAPOLIS--()--Get ready to clip and collect even more pink lids to help support the fight against breast cancer in your community! For the first time in its 14-year history, the Save Lids to Save Lives® campaign is expanding beyond Yoplait® to include more than 20 of your favorite General Mills’ brands, such as Green Giant, Nature Valley, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fiber One, Progresso, Pillsbury and Betty Crocker. General Mills is teaming up with country music superstar and avid breast cancer awareness supporter, Martina McBride, to announce the program’s expansion, and help further raise awareness about this important cause.

“As a woman and a mother of three girls, this is an important cause to support. Sadly, so many of us know someone who has been touched by breast cancer,” says McBride, whose Grammy-nominated song "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" has become an anthem for breast cancer survivors. “This truly is a disease that affects us all. Now, with more than 20 brands and hundreds of products, Save Lids to Save Lives is making it even easier to get involved and help support breast cancer programs right in your community. Every lid really can help make a difference!”

Every lid can help make a difference in your community. When a zip code is provided with lid redemptions, General Mills will direct those funds to the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure Affiliate. Susan G. Komen for the Cure has a network of 120 Affiliates that fund community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs throughout the United States.

“We’re proud to have expanded our support to include numerous brands in addition to our long-standing Yoplait program so you can help make a difference in your community’s fight against this disease,” says Cheryl Welch, Director, Save Lids to Save Lives, at General Mills. “The numbers are sobering; one in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime** and because the disease touches so many lives, it's critical that our work directly serves those impacted by the disease.”

For more than 14 years, General Mills has supported the breast cancer cause. It has done so through programs like Save Lids to Save Lives and Pink Together®, a social community for those touched by the disease. Through these and other initiatives, General Mills has contributed more than $50 million to the cause.
