The new product—Vue Beyond for Radiology—is currently available for order.

New Features Facilitate Collaboration
Carestream also demonstrated new capabilities for its Vue Motion image viewer that provides on demand access to medical images and patient data from workstations or mobile devices such as the iPad. The viewer helps equip physicians to provide more responsive patient care—and embedding the viewer in an EMR can further streamline data access. New features for the popular viewer include the display of current and prior images side-by-side and the ability for clinicians to input notes to the exam. These new capabilities facilitate collaboration between referring physicians, specialists and other clinicians. The latest version of the viewer is now available for order.
Latest Capabilities Enhance Image Quality of X-ray System
In addition to showcasing its new DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System, Carestream also announced availability of new capabilities and software features for its DRX-Evolution DR Suite that can help manage dose, improve image quality and enhance patient care, especially for critically ill or injured patients. The DRX-Evolution is a modular digital radiography X-ray system that utilizes Carestream’s wireless DRX detector and can be configured to fit each user’s budget, space and workflow needs.
New capabilities for the DRX-Evolution focus on dose management and image quality enhancements:
- Specialized image processing techniques aid in the visualization of conditions like a collapsed lung and can enhance overall detail for pediatric images
- New software helps limit patient exposure during an exam; and
- Linear tomography* enhances viewing of anatomy obscured by overlying organs and tissues.
