HTA Selects Marketing Partners for North America & Western Europe Markets

HONOLULU--()--After a competitive request for proposal (RFP) process, the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority (HTA), the state’s tourism agency, selected the Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) to continue its leisure tourism destination marketing management services for the North America market and AVIAREPS Tourism GmbH to provide marketing destination representation services for the Western Europe market.

The HTA contracts require the awardees to provide fixed-priced, pre-visit destination marketing services to drive visitation and revenues for the state of Hawai‘i and exceed established visitor related targets on a calendar year basis.

The contracts will commence on Jan. 1, 2013 and end on Dec. 31, 2014. The HTA has the option to extend the terms for three one-year periods from Jan. 1, 2015 through Dec. 31, 2017.

HVCB headquarters is located in Honolulu, with island chapter bureaus on O‘ahu, Kaua‘i, Maui and Hawai‘i Island. HVCB will be responsible for deployment and management of an integrated annual tourism marketing program, managing and coordinating with its island chapter partners to fulfill the HTA contract requirements.

AVIAREPS Tourism GmbH, which has offices in Munich, Germany and London, U.K. will be responsible for providing HTA with marketing representation services for Western Europe.
