WESTERLY, R.I.--()--Washington Trust, Rhode Island's largest independent bank, and Rhode Island Monthly announced “Where’s Waldo on Salty Brine, a photo taken by Barbara McCormick of Wakefield, R.I., as the recent winner of the I Luv RI 2012 photography contest. McCormick's beach photo appears in the August 2012 issue of Rhode Island Monthly Magazine.

“I chose this image because the people on the beach were so full of color and so busy with activity. It was exciting to have such a great view of the beach crowds aboard the Block Island Ferry. It spoke ‘quintessential Rhode Island’ to me...mid-summer on the beach, there is nothing better than that,” said McCormick.

“Rhode Island has some of the best beaches on the East Coast,” stated Joseph J. MarcAurele, Washington Trust Chairman, President and CEO. “Barbara’s photo truly captures the spirit of a fun summer day at a Rhode Island beach. It is picture-postcard perfect and makes you wish you were there.”

The “I Luv RI” photography contest is sponsored by Washington Trust in conjunction with Rhode Island Monthly. Photographers may enter by sending their favorite Rhode Island photo to: www.rimonthly.com/ILUVRI, or by visiting www.iluvri.com.
