Knud Stubkjær to Join Carrix, Inc. as Chief Strategic Officer and Chief Executive Officer

SEATTLE--()--Carrix, Inc., the parent company of Seattle-based SSA Marine, Inc. and Tideworks Technology, announced this week that Knud Stubkjær has joined its senior management team as chief strategic officer and chief executive officer. The company’s current CEO, Jon Hemingway, will continue to serve as the chairman of the board.

“We are pleased that Knud has joined the company,” said Mr. Hemingway. “His unparalleled ability and expertise in ocean transport, vessel operations, port operations, inland transport, and overall cargo logistics make him an excellent addition and complement to our senior managers. With this leadership team, Carrix will be well-equipped to adapt and grow with the many changes underway in our industry.”

Mr. Stubkjær has 35 years of experience in all aspects of international shipping, cargo logistics, and port operations. The first 30 years of his career were spent working for A.P. Moller-Maersk (APMM), the largest container shipping company in the world, including serving as the CEO of Maersk Line. More recently, Mr. Stubkjær joined E.R. Capital Holding in Hamburg, Germany as a partner and CEO of its wholly-owned subsidiary E.R. Schiffahrt, one of the world’s largest charter owners and managers of container vessels. He also served as vice chairman of E.R. Capital Holding Group and will continue to serve on their Board.

"I am greatly looking forward to working with the Carrix team," said Knud Stubkjær. "Jon Hemingway and his colleagues have built a significant company in its field, which I have known from my Maersk Line days as a first class, professional, reliable and quality oriented enterprise with a strong foundation for the future. I have had 5 fantastic years with the E.R. Capital Holding Group in Hamburg, just as I enjoyed my prior 30 years with Maersk. I now look forward to putting this experience to use together with colleagues at Carrix and to being a constructive part of the Carrix future.”
