rPath Hits Its Stride with Substantial Revenue Growth in First Half of 2012

Company credits surge in demand from cloud builders, vibrant reseller relationships

RALEIGH, N.C.--()--rPath, the enterprise PaaS company, today announces that the company closed the first half of 2012 with 174 percent bookings growth over the same period last year. The company points to heightened demand for “enterprise PaaS” and active reseller relationships as the source of growth.

“Over the last four quarters, we’ve seen a very positive shift in the market for cloud automation,” says Michael Torto, rPath CEO. “Enterprises and service providers have moved from kicking tires to taking action,” Torto says.

Enterprise platform as a service (PaaS) is increasingly seen as the best-fit approach for automating operating system and middleware stacks in enterprise environments. While large IT operators want to deliver the speed and simplicity of pure PaaS, they’ve found it too inflexible to meet their requirements.
