PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company (Reliance Standard), a leading group insurance carrier specializing in employee benefits solutions for companies of all sizes, named Andrew B. Davison senior vice president, underwriting.
In his new role Mr. Davison is chief underwriting officer for Reliance Standard, responsible for the overall planning and execution of underwriting strategies for the company’s group benefits product portfolio, including both employer paid and Voluntary lines. He is also responsible for oversight of the medical underwriting and contracts/policy issuance teams. A member of Reliance Standard’s executive leadership team, Mr. Davison reports directly to President and CEO Lawrence E. Daurelle.
Mr. Davison arrives with over 22 years of industry experience split between two of the largest US group disability carriers. His group employee benefits career has included broad-based leadership, managerial and technically-oriented positions in group underwriting, compliance, product development, contracts and enterprise-wide process improvement.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine and his M.B.A. from the University of Southern Maine. He is a native of Granby, Connecticut.
