According to the National Retail Federation, Mother’s Day is the second largest consumer spending holiday and men outspend women on gifts for mom. “What do moms of boys want for Mother’s Day? Flowers. Flowers don’t appear on our survey list, despite the fact that floral arrangements accounted for two-thirds of all Mother’s Day gifts in 2011,” added Williams.
