PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Elemental Technologies, the leading supplier of video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, today announced its plans to showcase additions and enhancements to its product lineup at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) annual conference and exhibition in Las Vegas, April 16-19. After posting 300% revenue growth last year, the company has launched an aggressive competitive buyback program to expand adoption of Elemental video processing solutions. The buyback program runs from April 1 through June 30 this year.

The company brings its award-winning Elemental Live system to this year’s show on several new hardware platforms. The Elemental Live 150 Series packs high performance video processing and throughput in either a rack mount or desktop form factor, allowing live event producers to output streams for multi-camera angle viewing. With support for easy distribution to YouTube Live as well as traditional CDNs, Elemental Live makes live streaming more accessible than ever before to live event producers and operators.

Along with new hardware configurations, Elemental will demonstrate features and functionality recently implemented in Elemental’s powerful and flexible software engine:

  • Encoding of multiple video streams using the new MPEG-DASH streaming protocol, with support for both ISO FF and MPEG-2 profiles (VOD and live content)
  • DECE Ultraviolet asset creation for secure and ubiquitous digital content distribution
  • Audio loudness management that enables compliance with the CALM Act (VOD and live content)
  • Advanced decoding functionality for professional codecs including J2K, ProRes, and AVC-I
  • Decoding and encoding for 4K TVs, the Retina screen on the new iPad, and other devices capable of greater than 1080p display
  • Expanded support for closed captioning and subtitles including teletext, DVB subtitles, and TTML

In addition to technology demonstrations at NAB, the company is offering a competitive buyback program throughout Q2’12. The program allows new customers to trade in their existing video processing systems when selecting Elemental solutions for their next-generation encoding applications. The promotion is uncapped and available to those with a single encoder or to those with large deployments. Customers who take advantage of this program receive product credit on competitive returns, allowing them to more than recoup the cost of their existing hardware infrastructure while migrating to Elemental’s premium solutions.

“We’ve added significant features and functionality to our suite of video processing products that make Elemental the solution of choice for multiscreen video delivery,” said Keith Wymbs, VP marketing at Elemental. “With support for seamless video delivery to PCs, tablets and mobile devices, customers large and small can take advantage of our competitive buyback program to trade up to best-in-class video processing technology.”

Elemental will exhibit at NAB in booth SU10012 in the South Upper Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. To schedule a meeting with an Elemental representative at NAB, please visit http://www.elementaltechnologies.com/lp/schedule-meeting.
