SailPoint Expands Executive Team

Jackie Gilbert Promoted to GM of SailPoint’s Cloud Identity Management Business Unit

Trent Fitz Joins SailPoint as VP of Marketing

AUSTIN, Texas--()--SailPoint today announced two changes to its executive team: SailPoint Cofounder Jackie Gilbert, formerly vice president of marketing, has been promoted to general manager of SailPoint’s cloud identity management business unit; and Trent Fitz has joined the company as vice president of worldwide marketing. In her new role, Gilbert will lead strategy, product management and product development of solutions for managing identities in and from the cloud. As vice president of marketing, Fitz will ensure that SailPoint continues to broaden its global footprint as a leader in governance-based identity management.

“We recognize that enterprises are moving to cloud-based technologies to reduce costs, simplify operations, and better meet changing business demands,” said Kevin Cunningham, president and cofounder of SailPoint. “Last year, we created our cloud identity business unit to focus on helping our customers address the management challenges and opportunities arising from cloud adoption, as well as on new delivery options represented by identity management as a cloud service. Under Jackie’s expert direction, SailPoint will drive rapid innovation that will complement and extend our flagship IdentityIQ product line. Jackie brings the ideal combination of entrepreneurial spirit and market-savvy experience for this job.”

Fitz joins the company’s executive team and brings a breadth of marketing, product management, and engineering experience in enterprise security software to the company. Prior to joining SailPoint, Fitz was the vice president of marketing for Trustwave, a leading provider of cloud-based compliance and data security solutions that filed to go public in 2011. He joined Trustwave through its 2009 acquisition of Mirage Networks, where he also served as the vice president of marketing. He has also held leadership roles in product management and engineering with Surgient Networks (acquired by Quest Software), ClearCube Technology, and IBM Global Services.

“Trent is a great addition to the team as we continue to scale globally and take the company to the next level,” continued Cunningham. “He has a proven track record of supporting major company transitions, including IPOs and acquisitions. That expertise will prove invaluable as we expand our product portfolio, our customer base and partner network. I look forward to some very exciting things coming from our teams.”
