Anderson brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to Xpert Financial, specifically in the areas of investment banking, commercial banking, and investment management.
Most recently at Silicon Valley Bank, Anderson founded and served as president of SVB Analytics, a firm that provides solutions to analytical problems specific to emerging growth companies. Within three years under Anderson’s leadership, SVB Analytics became the largest provider of valuation opinions to private companies in the U.S. Anderson also served as president of eProsper, whose CapMx software became the industry standard for capitalization management and options accounting serving over 3,000 venture-backed companies. Anderson joined Xpert Financial in January and will report to Xpert founder and CEO, Thomas Foley.

Having joined Silicon Valley Bank in 1999, Anderson founded and served as President of SVB Securities, SVB’s broker dealer subsidiary. He also founded and served as President and Chief Investment Officer of SVB Asset Management. These groups today hold total client assets in excess of $16 billion. Prior to his career at SVB, Mr. Anderson was Managing Director of Technology Investment Banking for CIBC Oppenheimer where he initiated the firm’s entry into that sector in 1991. He also served as a software engineer for Electronic Data Systems and a math professor in the U.S. Peace Corps in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Anderson earned his MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the State University of New York. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
