YOSHINOYA BOWL - BETTER THAN THEIRS

ORANGE, Calif.--()--Yoshinoya, a quick-service restaurant chain which opened its first restaurant in 1899, looks to Shiny Objects Marketing to help freshen its branding.

The marketing challenge: Create a branding campaign that would elevate Yoshinoya's awareness and broaden its appeal amongst heavy fast food users within a media budget considerably smaller than most QSR competitors.

Shiny Objects Marketing CEO, Kenneth Gal, said, “Our challenge was to find both a distinctive and memorable way to tell the world that Yoshinoya bowls are the best bowls around and we think we nailed it!”

The radio campaign, now playing on some of the hottest radio stations targeting 18-34 year olds in Los Angeles, uses a very “sticky-tune” to let listeners know that Yoshinoya bowls “are better than theirs” because they are cooked fresh.

“We are flattered that Yoshinoya has placed their trust in us. Like the proverbial ‘Shiny Object,’ we are working very hard to make the Yoshinoya brand irresistible,” Gal said. “The radio campaign features one of Yoshinoya’s signature and most popular menu items, their teriyaki chicken bowl. “The refrain ‘our bowls are better than theirs, better than theirs’ will hopefully become Yoshinoya’s new brand anthem,” Gal went on to say.

Shiny Objects Marketing clients include: Global Cash Card, Athenix, PCM, Robek’s, and GoldMax, the largest chain of stores specializing in buying gold and precious metals from consumers in the United States. The Gold Max media campaign featured spokesperson Robin Leach, former host of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
