With these appointments SmartGridCIS now offers best-in-class leadership and client support, as both leaders bring a strong track record of achievement in previous roles. This includes both early stage and mid-sized companies, and key consulting capacities for Fortune 100 clients. With extensive management experience concurrently spanning more than four decades, Mr. Adkins and Mr. Brumbelow bring valuable leadership to SmartGridCIS’s executive team during a period of rapid growth. As Vice President, Product Development, Mr. Adkins will lead the product management team, and be responsible for the development of the company's core software products including product innovation, management and development. In addition, he will be responsible for the SmartGridCIS services and support organizations. As Vice President, Engineering, Mr. Brumbelow will lead the software engineering team and be responsible for the company's next generation architectural frameworks and engineering methodologies, including implementing IT best practices and defining SmartGridCIS platform’s technology direction.
Backgrounds
Mr. Adkins is a 17-year technology veteran, having specialized in IT strategy, planning, development and management, and he brings specific understanding of complex billing, payment processing and transaction management within the competitive energy vertical. Prior to joining SmartGridCIS, Adkins was a partner with Osadio USA where he consulted and developed solutions for multiple energy industry clients. Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President of Information Technology at both Glacial Energy and Catalyst Energy.
Mr. Brumbelow’s background as a 23-year technology veteran includes extensive experience designing and developing complex enterprise architectures and large-scale, enterprise-class systems for numerous Fortune 100 clients across multiple industry verticals. Prior to joining SmartGridCIS, Mr. Brumbelow was a Partner with Osadio USA and a Principal, Enterprise Architect with Daugherty Business Solutions. His early career included development of complex guidance control systems for DOD clients, as well as during his time with the U.S. Air Force.
