DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Frontier Airlines today announced that it will expand its existing nonstop service between Denver (DEN) and New York LaGuardia (LGA) in 2012. Beginning March 25, the airline will increase its schedule to include three flights year-round, and beginning April 16, it will launch a fourth flight that will operate six days each week during the summer season.
Service on the route will be provided on Airbus 319 and 320 aircraft, with 30 and 36 STRETCH seats respectively, offering up to 7 inches of additional legroom on every flight. These aircraft also offer 24 channels of DirecTV® at every seat.
“Frontier is clearly the most traveler-friendly option on the route,” said Daniel Shurz, vice president of Strategy and Planning for Frontier. “We offer the lowest average fares and the best schedule from Denver to LaGuardia – including the earliest and the latest flights from Denver, and the earliest flight from LaGuardia. And every one of Frontier’s flights departs from close-in Concourse A at Denver International Airport. In addition, our EarlyReturns frequent flyer program offers the lowest elite-level qualification in the industry. We’re looking forward to offering more of our better and different service between Denver and New York.”
Introductory fares for the expanded nonstop schedule, which begin at $99 one way, are available at FrontierAirlines.com through Jan. 1, 2012, for travel through May 20, 2012. Blackout dates of April 5-16, 2012, and a 21-day advance purchase apply.
