BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OutStart announces the immediate availability of OutStart LCMS – Evolution 2012 Module, the latest version of its leading learning content management system (LCMS) for automating the development, management, maintenance, delivery, and publishing of modular and personalized learning.
This new release provides mobile capabilities that allow you to deliver your LCMS content, including video, to any basic cell phone, Smartphone, or tablet. It also includes a PowerPoint plug-in that enables developers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to contribute native PowerPoint content as well as interactive and assessment content directly to the LCMS.
Other new capabilities include design view, animations, transitions, PDF preview options, as well as additional usability features.

Mobile Capabilities:
Introduction of mobile capabilities enabling the delivery of LCMS content, including video, to any basic cell phone, Smartphone, or tablet through a mobile browser or native app, without making any changes to the content. -
PowerPoint Plug-in:
Content developed in PowerPoint Developer can now be published in OutStart LCMS – Evolution Module. The plug-in allows developers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to contribute native PowerPoint content as well as polls, quizzes, assessments, and interactive content directly to the LCMS. -
Design View:
A new way to create content. All formatting functions can be updated in the original window rather than having to open a separate HTML editor. -
Animations and Transitions:
Create highly interactive and engaging content using animations and transition affects. These are supported for several element types as well as at the page level, to control how and when elements appear on the page. -
PDF Preview Option:
Allows you to design new PDF templates within the tool and immediately see your changes. -
Usability Features:
Several usability features have been added to the release, including enhancements to create complex tables with splits and merges; the ability to animate bulleted lists or mouse-overs; alternate renderings for the interactive elements to vary the format and student interaction; new options for matching questions; and, new carousel rendering in slideshow mode.
