VALHALLA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Peter B. Wilson, Jr. has been named president and CEO of the Balance Bar Company, one of America’s original nutrition/energy bar leaders. Wilson’s appointment was announced today by Hendrik J. Hartong III, chairman of Balance Bar and senior managing partner of Brynwood Partners, the private equity group which acquired Balance Bar in 2009.

As former COO of DeMets Candy Company, another Brynwood Partners company, Wilson greatly improved the company’s operations, customer relations and manufacturing output of its popular treats: Turtles, Flipz, Treasures and TrueNorth.
