Ackerman McQueen Names Hillary Farrell Agency Co-President

OKLAHOMA CITY--()--Ackerman McQueen (AM) today announced that Hillary Farrell has been appointed agency co-president. An eleven-year veteran of Ackerman McQueen, Ms. Farrell had served as the firm’s chief operating officer since 2009.

In her new capacity, Ms. Farrell will work closely with Rodney Lipe, Ackerman McQueen co-president/director of client services. She will be tasked with strategic oversight and management of key accounts, as well as overseeing the firm’s continued expansion into online and digital services. In addition, Ms. Farrell will remain managing director of AM subsidiary Videodigm, which constructs, operates and licenses category-specific online video channels and networks.

“Hillary brings extraordinary intelligence, energy and balance to the emerging group of new leaders who will take our company into a future filled with accomplishment and adventure,” said Angus McQueen, Ackerman McQueen chief executive officer. “She is a very special talent and a true role model for every young person in our business.”

Ackerman McQueen Chairman Ed Martin said, “Hillary has played a critical role in growing our firm the past six years, especially as it relates to our interactive and digital enterprise. Her expertise in the digital space has produced impressive results for this high-growth area of our firm. We are pleased to expand her management role at the firm, where her exceptional experience and leadership can be reflected on a firm-wide basis. Hillary and Rodney are a strong team. They are both an integral part of our operation and well-respected in the advertising industry.”

Ms. Farrell began her career with Ackerman McQueen in broadcast production and has rapidly advanced through a series of positions with increased responsibility. She brings experience in workflow analysis, personnel management, domestic and international expansion and asset acquisition to her new role. Along with Executive Vice President Peter Farrell, she has led the agency’s Dallas-based digital division, AMID (Ackerman McQueen Interactive + Digital), since 2006.

“Hillary’s natural business instinct has made this decision a very logical and easy one,” said Bill Winkler, Ackerman McQueen chief financial officer. “I see this as an important step in the present and the future success of Ackerman McQueen.”

”Hillary and I have worked together closely over the past ten years,” said Rodney Lipe, Ackerman McQueen co-president/director of client services. “I look forward to partnering with her for many more years of growth and excitement for our agency.”

Ms. Farrell graduated from East Central University in Ada, Okla., where she was the university's George Nigh scholar. Active in the Oklahoma City community, Ms. Farrell currently holds leadership positions with a number of community organizations, including the Junior League of Oklahoma City, United Way of Central Oklahoma and Allied Arts.
