Duro Bag Names Three New Senior Executives

• Tim Needham, Veteran Forest Products, Converting and Printing Industry Executive, Elected Vice Chairman of Board of Directors of Duro Bag Manufacturing Co.;

• David Froesel, Jr., Former CFO of Omnicare, Named Senior Strategy Consultant;

• Greg Berberich Named Vice President-General Counsel

CINCINNATI--()--Duro Bag Manufacturing Co., the world’s largest manufacturer of paper bags for retail, foodservice, grocery and wholesaler/distributors, today announced three executive appointments focused on company growth, strategy and legal affairs.

• Tim Needham, veteran forest products, converting and printing industry executive, was elected Vice Chairman of Board of Directors;

• David Froesel, Jr., former CFO of Omnicare, is named Senior Strategy Consultant;

• Greg Berberich, veteran Cincinnati attorney, is named VP-General Counsel.

Tim Needham

Needham has been a member of the Duro Board of Directors since 2009. In his expanded role as Vice Chairman, he will advise Mr. Shor on customer acquisition strategy, new market segments and products, global business development and investment strategies.

Mr. Needham is Chairman of SMART Papers Holding, LLC, and has a 30-year career as a top operating executive in companies ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to private equity firms. He has served as division president at Kimberly-Clark Corp., and as Chairman, COO and President of privately held, $600 million-revenue Williamhouse-Regency. Needham has a proven record of building customer relationships while increasing shareholder return.

Needham has worked with investment firms including Apollo Advisors, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Bain Capital, Morgan Stanley and Sun Capital Partners on a wide range of transactions including M&As, high-yield offerings and NYSE-listed IPOs led by Morgan Stanley. Needham currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA). He has also served on numerous boards and advisory boards within the forest products, packaging and commercial printing industries.

David Froesel, Jr.

Veteran senior executive David Froesel, Jr., was appointed as Senior Strategy Consultant to advise Duro Bag in the areas of finance, operations, information technology, administration and strategic M&A.

Froesel was a member of the executive team at Omnicare, the nation’s leading provider of pharmaceutical care for seniors, for almost 14 years. At that firm, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from March 1996 until his retirement in January 2010.

Omnicare revenues grew significantly under Froesel’s tenure—by 2009, they stood at more than $6 billion, up from approximately $400 million in 1995, shortly before he joined the company. During Froesel’s time at Omnicare, the company completed over 100 acquisitions, raised in excess of $7 billion of capital, and consistently generated significant positive operating cash flow. Additionally, Froesel has extensive experience in acquisitions, restructuring, merger integration, cost reduction and operations.

Greg Berberich

Greg Berberich joined Duro Bag as VP and General Counsel. Greg has practiced law for 22 years, much of it in the Cincinnati area, with an emphasis on commercial litigation and general corporate and transactional matters. Greg manages Duro’s legal and regulatory affairs as well as special projects assigned by the Board and CEO.

Berberich graduated cum laude from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Board memberships include Norcen Behavioral Health (former board chair), Centerpoint Health (former board chair) and Talbert House, a metro Cincinnati area nonprofit network of social services programs.
