Idaho Wine Commission Launches New Website

BOISE, Idaho--()--The Idaho Wine Commission (IWC) has launched a new interactive website, www.idahowines.org. The new website showcases the Idaho wine industry, wineries, and vineyards with the goal to promote the sale of Idaho wines and encourage travel to Idaho wine country. New features include interactive maps, current events, comprehensive winery and vineyard profiles, and a historical timeline of the IWC. There is also an extensive press area allowing media to promote Idaho wine and regions. The website is an asset to the Idaho Wine Commission members, by providing a forum that allows for easier communication, the sharing of events, news and resources, while integrating Facebook and Twitter.

“We are thrilled with the launch of www.idahowines.org. The website reflects Idaho’s growing wine industry and the enthusiasm of Idaho vintners,” said Moya Shatz, Executive Director of the Idaho Wine Commission.

Bold new graphics and rich colors give the site a rustic yet elegant theme coinciding with Idaho Wine Country’s unique atmosphere.

The Idaho Wine Commissions’ goal is to market and promote all Idaho wineries and growers. There are a total of 43 wineries with 1600 vineyard acres planted. The wine industry contributed $73 million to Idaho’s economy in 2008. Visit www.idahowines.org for more information about wineries, vineyards, and events.
