NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SM&A, the world's leading program lifecycle consulting firm providing strategic, integrated solutions in business development and program services for government contractors, today announced that its board of directors has named Kevin Reiners to serve as the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Reiners replaces Cathy McCarthy who has announced her retirement. Ms. McCarthy will remain as the Chairperson of the SM&A board of directors.
Mr. Reiners, 50, has served SM&A since October of 2005 in various roles, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Reiners is a veteran industry executive having been with SM&A for over five years preceded by 21 years with Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. As the Vice President of Programs and Business Operations at Lockheed Martin, Mr. Reiners drove successful performance in Federal, Commercial, DoD, IT, business development, program execution, and acquisition related projects. Mr. Reiners holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San Diego State University.
