WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Audax Health Solutions (Audax) today announced that it has promoted Dr. Henry DePhillips to president and chief operating officer. Dr. DePhillips had been serving as the president of healthcare operations since joining Audax in October 2010.
As a member of the Audax executive management team, Dr. DePhillips will work closely with Founder and Chief Executive Officer Grant Verstandig. Dr. DePhillips will have executive oversight for all of Audax’s day-to-day operations, including a special focus on business development and client management.
“Dr. DePhillips has more than 25 years of valuable experience as both a healthcare practitioner and a businessman, with extensive experience in health informatics and medical management,” said Verstandig. “So, I am very pleased that he now will be able to apply his skills and experience to managing the full scope of Audax business endeavors.”
Prior to joining Audax, Dr. DePhillips was the head of business development, Americas for McKinsey & Company’s Health Systems Institute. Other significant career experience for Dr. DePhillips includes serving as the senior medical director at Independence Blue Cross of Pennsylvania and as the chief medical officer at three companies: MEDecision, a collaborative care management software company based in Wayne, Pa.; Medem, now Intuit Health, a company focused on advancing online communication between physicians and patients; and at PDR Network, the industry leader for drug labeling information and patient safety communications.
Dr. DePhillips earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine and his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Trinity College. He completed his residency in family and community medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware and then spent 10 years in private practice.
Dr. DePhillips currently resides in Nashville, Tenn., with his wife and children.
