The 2011 Gladney Cup: Tee Off for Adoption and Coming Home Gala Featuring Lee Ann Womack and Tim Halperin

FORT WORTH, Texas--()--The Gladney Cup, a world-class PGA style charitable golf tournament and gala benefitting the Gladney Center for Adoption, is coming home to Fort Worth, Texas May 1- 2, 2011. The 2011 Gladney Cup combines the love of golf with the desire to further Gladney’s mission of Creating Bright Futures Around the World.

This year’s Gladney Cup contestants will compete at the Colonial Country Club on May 2, 2011. Colonial is the home of Ben Hogan and the site of the annual Crown Plaza Invitational. The Gladney Cup affords players the chance to play at one of the most prestigious golf courses in the United States while supporting the Gladney Center for Adoption and helping to raise awareness for the extraordinary mission of adoption.

Gladney Cup festivities begin May 1 at the Coming Home themed gala at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Fort Worth’s own country music sensation, Pat Green, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. Country music fan-favorite, Lee Ann Womack and American Idol competitor (TCU alumnus), Tim Halperin will wow the audience with their vocal talent and charisma. This special event supports Gladney’s adoption, birthmother and humanitarian aid programs.

The inaugural Gladney Cup was held in 1999 at Colonial Country Club, Gladney’s "home" course in Fort Worth, Texas. Since that time, six Gladney Cup events have been hosted at several U.S. Open golf courses.
