“GSA welcomes its new and returning directors. We are pleased to have such a diverse group of global leaders that represent both the technological and geographical make-up of the industry. With distinguished executives from China, Japan, Europe and North America, I have no doubt that these directors will successfully facilitate the attainment of our goals of continuing to be the platform for the global collaborative effort in improving the ecosystem for future advancement and growth that will benefit the entire industry,” stated Jodi Shelton, co-founder and president of GSA.

“The addition of IDT, Intersil and SMIC to the board will support our continued commitment to the MS/Analog and RF sectors as well as provide unique insight into China as an end market. GSA has repeatedly demonstrated its extraordinary ability to create an environment where industry leaders and competitors can work together to achieve a common goal. We look to maintain this trend,” continued Shelton.

GSA is extremely pleased with its new directors who will offer their vast knowledge, experience and leadership to GSA’s mission and vision. “I am honored to be part of this dynamic and committed group of industry leaders. Analog/mixed-signal content in today’s devices is increasing in all major markets, globally. This includes industrial, consumer, computing and communications – all of which are growing at impressive rates,” stated Sagar Pushpala, senior vice president, worldwide operations and technology, Intersil Corporation. “GSA provides a terrific platform that allows leading semiconductor companies and their supply-chain partners to collaborate and drive industry solutions to critical business and technological issues. I’m excited to offer a balanced, analog/mixed-signal perspective that will further enable the GSA to pursue its mission of driving industry solutions to these critical challenges,” he continued.

“It is a privilege to be elected as a member of the GSA board of directors – a strong team of industry leaders that spans the entire semiconductor supply-chain,” said Dr. Ted Tewksbury, president and chief executive officer, Integrated Device Technology. “The GSA has established itself as the voice of our industry, with a group of eminent leaders whose purpose is to advance the industry to new heights and address global challenges that affect our success. GSA’s powerful presence enables us to work collaboratively for the benefit of the entire ecosystem, and I am eager to participate in this mission,” he further commented.

Dr. David Wang, president and chief executive officer of SMIC, explained, “China will be the focus of strategic corporate planning and technological development for the next ten years, as GSA remains at the core of the entire ecosystem. Serving as the voice of our industry worldwide, GSA will promote global collaboration to the benefit of all of our members. I am delighted to join this board and work with these distinguished leaders.”

The GSA has consistently broadened its global representation that now consists of a membership base spanning large multinational corporations to start-up companies in their initial funding phase. Geographically, the GSA represents every major region within the semiconductor industry. The Association plans to strategically build and expand its international presence in the EMEA and Asia regions through new regional partnerships and global market intelligence initiatives.
