Summer Programs Available at Country’s Best Colleges and Universities this Summer

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--According to the U.S. News and World Report, the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG – www.giftedstudy.org) is hosting their renowned program for academically advanced students at six of the country’s top 25 colleges and universities in the summer of 2011.

SIG, one of the nation’s leading programs for gifted and talented students, hosts their residential summer sessions at some of the most prestigious campuses – and some of the most highly ranked according to the National University Rankings recently compiled by the U.S. News and World Report – in the country.

The rankings include Princeton University (2nd), Yale University (3rd), Dartmouth College (9th), Emory University (20th), University of California – Berkeley (22nd) and UCLA (25th) – all of which will host SIG programs this summer.

In addition to the schools in the top 25, SIG will also offer their three-week residential program for gifted students ages 10 to 17 at Amherst College, Bryn Mawr College, UT Austin and Vassar College. Younger students can attend the SIG Day Program, hosted at 17 campuses nationwide.

For students living within driving distance of any of SIG’s residential program campuses, a lower cost commuter option is offered for a limited number of students (except Princeton). Students can take advantage of the academic and social advantages of a SIG program while living at home.
