UltiPro® Customers Connect at Ultimate’s 2011 Global Partner Forum to Discuss the Strategic Direction of HCM

WESTON, Fla.--()--Ultimate Software (Nasdaq:ULTI), a leading provider of unified human capital management SaaS solutions for global businesses, announced today record-breaking attendance of 800 customers from around the world at Connections 2011, its fourth annual global partner forum, held March 9-12 at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

Co-sponsored by IBM® and Dell®, Connections 2011 brought together more than 800 UltiPro customers, partners, and HR industry influencers from around the world who came to share ideas, hear about Ultimate’s future direction, expand their network of peers, and participate in hands-on lab sessions and one-on-one meetings with Ultimate representatives.

“I really enjoyed the opportunity to network with and learn from so many other customers like me,” said Mark Buzby, HRIS and payroll director for Pep Boys, the nation’s leading automotive aftermarket service and retail chain with more than 620 stores nationwide and 18,000 employees. “I’ve been to other user conferences that were really just sales pitches, but Ultimate’s conference was well-organized, the sessions were relevant and topical, and there were many opportunities to exchange strategic ideas with other users.”

Supported by sessions from Knowledge Infusion, Wise Consulting, Sterling Infosystems, and CORT Services, the conference provided an open forum for Ultimate’s customers and partners to interact with and learn from industry analysts, fellow users, and Ultimate’s leadership. Keynote speakers R “Ray” Wang, principal analyst of Constellation Research Group, and HR software pioneer and blogger Naomi Bloom of Bloom & Wallace, were followed by more than 70 sessions, including 17 customer presentations that addressed strategic HCM topics, technology best practices, and present and future initiatives in the HR and talent management field.

“With the Connections conference, Ultimate has done a very good job at developing sessions that cater to their customers, who represent a wide range of industries, sizes, and HCM needs. I’ve known Ultimate cares about its customers — but being here in person, I could really see and feel how seriously Ultimate takes the opportunity to listen to its user community,” said Bloom. “Ultimate was receptive to customer feedback and clearly wants to try to help customers transition to the future of HCM technology and HR industry.”

“The conference has been a great opportunity to hear about the leadership team’s commitment to its customer base and learn about moving our company into the future from an HR technology perspective,” said Tara Coats, director of HRIS, benefits, and payroll for Public Storage.

“I loved this conference. The sessions were great, and it was clear that Ultimate cares about its customers,” said Vickie Elder, payroll manager for Texas Roadhouse. “I love the energy and the feeling I get when I’m around people from Ultimate. The Connections user conference was an excellent combination of knowledge sharing and enjoying being a part of the Ultimate family.”

“Everyone at Ultimate is focused on and committed to true partnership with our customers,” said Scott Scherr, president, CEO, and founder of Ultimate Software. “The Connections conference is a wonderful opportunity for us to hear directly from the HR leaders that shape the future of our solutions and services. This chance for us to collaborate firsthand was invaluable in helping us continue to advance human capital management technology for global businesses.”
