SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dexter + Chaney, providers of Spectrum® Construction Software for the construction industry, announced Scott Builders, Inc., a general contractor from Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, as the winner of the Innovator Award at its 18th annual Connect 2014 Users’ Conference held April 24 –25 at the Fairmont Olympic and W Hotels in downtown Seattle.

Scott Builders was selected as the winner of the Innovator Award because of its effective use of Spectrum’s full functionality of business management applications. The Connect 2014 Users’ Conference brought together more than 400 Spectrum customers, industry partners and experts for three days of learning and networking functions, including an evening of entertainment at the world-renowned Seattle Aquarium. Eight unique tracks featuring 56 different courses were available for attendees, covering the latest industry trends and best practices as well as detailed sessions on software functionality. Keynote speeches included a presentation from Lt. Col. Rob “Waldo” Waldman — a combat decorated F-16 pilot and award-winning speaker — and John Chaney, who closed the conference with a glimpse of some of the future technology developments in the works at Dexter + Chaney.
