NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Intermarket Communications, a leading independent provider of corporate and financial public relations services, today announced the appointment of Neil Shapiro as Chief Operating Officer. In this new role, Shapiro will help drive critical areas of the business, including client service, staff development and agency growth. He will also continue to lead several of the firm’s flagship accounts including Charles Schwab, Nestlé and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods.
Shapiro joined Intermarket in 2000 and in 2012 was named Managing Partner, a title he will maintain. Over the years, Shapiro has developed and directed ongoing corporate communications programs as well as campaigns surrounding special circumstances, including mergers & acquisitions, initial public offerings, divestitures and new product launches. He enjoys strong relationships with many of the country’s top business journalists and is actively involved in day-to-day account management.
