Baptist Health Care Introduces CarePayment’s Affordable Financing Options for Patients

No application or credit check needed for financing program

PENSACOLA, Fla. & PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Baptist Health Care (BHC) is adding more affordable financing options for patients through CarePayment ®, a leading national provider of patient financing. Patients now can opt for a 0.00% APR payment plan for up to 25 months, regardless of credit history, employment or insurance coverage.

“With the rise in high-deductible plans and out-of-pocket costs, patients are responsible for a growing portion of their medical expenses. We want to make sure they receive the care they need when they need it. CarePayment makes that possible with flexible and convenient payment plans,” says Mark Faulkner, president and chief executive officer of BHC.

A recent Gallup poll found that 30% of U.S. adults say that they or a family member have put off medical treatment in the past year because of the cost. Between 2006 and 2012, employee out-of-pocket and payroll costs for health care rose 82%, to an average of $5,000 a year, according to Aon Hewitt, a leading global authority on insurance and reinsurance brokerage.

CarePayment is an open end line of credit that features a 0.00% APR for the life of the account. Patients can manage their accounts in a variety of ways, including automatic payments, mobile and online account access, and paper or electronic statements.

“We are pleased to support Baptist Health Care in their commitment to providing excellent care to their communities. With CarePayment, Baptist is responding to the changing needs of patients by introducing greater payment choice and flexibility,” says Craig Froude, CarePayment CEO.
