LOUISVILLE, Ky.--()--(NYSE: GE) — With the busy cooking season around the corner, it is important to have appliances that provide the best results for fall meals and holiday home entertaining. GE offers a variety of new cooktops, ranges and wall ovens that can help make your recipes a success, as well as tips for picking out the perfect appliance to suit a wide range of cooking needs.

Shopping for a Range

Buying a new range is an important process most consumers face at some point, and choosing the right fit for your lifestyle is crucial. The first step is to narrow the search by starting with the basics such as size, heat and price. Next, consider your routines and lifestyles when looking at available features to decide which ones best fit your cooking needs. Lastly, consider what style is best suited for your kitchen by analyzing the finish and appliance design for your home décor.

Connected Wall Ovens

GE's connected wall ovens with the New Direct Air convection design significantly increase air coverage on food, resulting in great cooking performance. In addition, GE's newest mobile app gives consumers the freedom to control their oven using Wi-Fi technology. They can preheat, set the timer, change the temperature or cooking function, and check cooking status while managing activities such as gardening or homework with the kids. The current feature allows control via mobile app from within the home or yard and is available in a variety of configurations, including single and double ovens. A remote option will be available as an upgrade at a later date.

Single-Double Wall Oven

The GE Profile™ single-double wall oven provides double-oven versatility yet requires only the space of a 30-inch single wall oven. It is perfect for remodeling because the wall oven will fit in many single wall oven cutouts already in consumers' homes. The upper oven capacity is ideal for cooking small family meals and snacks and the lower, larger oven offers the performance of convection baking, saving both time and energy for consumers.

Slide-in Double Oven Gas Range

GE expanded its cooking line to include the first and only slide-in double oven gas range in the industry. The double oven allows for two different items to be cooked at the same time and the slide-in capability makes for easy cleanup, thanks to the absence of crevices between the cabinets and countertops. Other features include the double broiler system which has two heating elements that run along the top of the cavity for even cooking, an integrated griddle, continuous grates and a tri-ring, 20,000-BTU burner.
