NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CitiMortgage today announced the launch of its proprietary 2013 Road to Recovery Tour, a customer outreach program scheduled to begin with events in eleven cities across the country. At Road to Recovery events, Citi’s Homeowner Support Travel Team - Citi’s mortgage assistance professionals - consult one-on-one with CitiMortgage customers in need of assistance with their mortgages.
“The recent improvement in the overall housing market is encouraging for the industry and our economy overall, but it also overshadows the struggle many homeowners are still facing in pockets around the country,” said Sanjiv Das, CEO of CitiMortgage. “The 2013 Road to Recovery tour is designed to help these homeowners by meeting one-on-one with our mortgage professionals to address their financial challenges, identify potential solutions and, where possible, keep them in their homes.”
Since launching the Road to Recovery tour in 2011, Citi’s Homeowner Support Team has met with over 5,700 families across 60 markets providing resources and assistance to help distressed borrowers avoid potential foreclosure. Over 40% of attendees in 2012 were customers who had not contacted Citi previously and approximately 60% of all attendees were offered a potential solution to their financial challenge. Over its first two years, Citi’s Road to Recovery has received overwhelmingly positive feedback with over 95 percent of attendees rating the overall value of the event as “Excellent” or “Good.”
This year’s tour will offer new services to further enhance the already positive customer experience. For instance, at many tour stops attendees will have access to refinance representatives onsite, if they qualify for refinancing options.
Even if borrowers have missed multiple payments or believe they may miss payments in the future, they are encouraged to attend. The free events are open to all CitiMortgage homeowners and offer one-to-one counseling in private settings where borrowers facing financial challenges can ask any question about their mortgages and obtain information about their options. While reservations are not necessary, borrowers may register online before the events at: events.citimortgage.com. The first phase of the 2013 Road to Recovery Tour will take place in March through June and will include the following cities:
