Rosetta Stone Announces New Scholarship Contest for Outstanding English as a Second Language Learners

“Communicate and Connect Scholarship” Provides the Winning Graduating High School Senior $3,000 Towards College Education

ARLINGTON, Va.--()--Rosetta Stone Ltd., a leading worldwide provider of language learning, announced today the creation of the Rosetta Stone® Communicate and Connect Scholarship for graduating English as a Second Language (ESL) high school seniors. The winner will be determined by an essay contest for ESL students and will receive a cash award of $3,000 towards his/her college education.

Participants in the scholarship contest will be asked to describe “how learning English impacted your life” in 500 words or less for their essay submission. The winning essay will be selected based on the merits of the language learning story and quality of writing.

Entries for consideration in Rosetta Stone Communicate and Connect Scholarship 2009 contest will be accepted from March 16 to May 15, 2009. A winner will be announced in June and granted a cash award that the winner can apply to the cost of his or her college education in the 2010 academic year.
