The 44-minute A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS follows the seasonal adventures of MINTY pony as she tries to save Christmas for all of her pony friends after she accidentally breaks the "Here Comes Christmas Candy Cane" that shows Santa the way to Ponyville every year. The G-rated movie, released earlier this month, is available at major retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $9.95 on video and $16.99 on DVD.
The film first debuted in October, as families screened the movie at weekend matinees across the country through Kidtoon Films via the Screenvision digital network.
The film has also earned numerous awards, including the 'Family Approved' Seal from the Dove Awards, the 'Seal of Approval' from the Parents Television Council and one of the Greatest Products of 2005 from iParenting.
MINTY and friends have made their way into other lifestyle channels for young girls this holiday. In publishing, HarperCollins released A VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS reusable sticker book, and Bendon Publishing has coloring and activity books. Through Tokyopop's Jr. Cine-Manga, a VERY MINTY CHRISTMAS story is now available.
For young music lovers, Genius released a MINTY CHRISTMAS music CD. In fact, the CD is currently ranked number four in holiday title sales according to Soundscan.
