STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Frontier Communications is a Platinum Sponsor for the fast-approaching Connecticut Open presented by United Technologies, being held August 15-23, 2014 at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale. The tournament is a WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) event that is part of the Emirates Airline U.S. Open Series.

SUNDAY, August 17 is KIDS DAY. The first 1,000 children at the stadium entrance will receive a goody bag that will include a sponge bull of Frontier’s brand ambassador “Frank the Buffalo.” Little Frank will be the perfect thing to `clutch’ during the nerve-wracking tie breakers and matches that are sure to occur throughout this premiere event.
MONDAY, August 18 is Military Appreciation Night. As a 100 percent U.S.-based company, Frontier Communications is proud to salute those who serve our country. Mercouriou, age 18, died on December 8, 2011 at Fort Benning, Georgia. The ceremony at the Connecticut Still Revolutionary Stage will commemorate this young soldier’s service in the Connecticut Army National Guard and to his country.
August 17-23 attendees will enjoy LUCKY ROW, a tournament-long event that singles out a row of eight during each of the 12 sessions.
