Trulia Helping Over 12,000 Brokers Connect to Consumers With Accurate, Timely Listings Through Trulia Data Connect
Trulia Data Connect is changing the listing distribution landscape as brokers make their choices known
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Trulia (NYSE:TRLA), a leading online marketplace for home buyers, sellers, renters, and real estate professionals is now receiving listings data from more than 12,000 brokerages through its Trulia Data Connect Program. Trulia Data Connect enables brokers to send listings directly to Trulia, empowering them to take full control over their listings and market them more strategically. Trulia Data Connect feeds are updated as frequently as every eight minutes to ensure the listings are marketed in a timely and accurate manner.
“We have delivered great value to our members, freeing them to make their own strategic decisions about how they manage the business and dramatically improved the data accuracy of listings in our marketplace.”
“We’ve always recognized that brokers are the owners of the listings data. Trulia Data Connect enables us to work in partnership with brokers and MLSs to support the broker’s choice in determining where and how they want to market their listings,” said Alon Chaver, Vice President of Industry Services at Trulia. “Trulia Data Connect license agreements encourage brokers and MLSs to become directly and intimately involved in every aspect of their listings’ marketing. We ensure they feel confident about the way we handle their data and that we’re protecting and building their brand equity on our platform.”
Trulia Data Connect delivers three primary benefits to brokers free of charge.
Control of Data - Trulia’s direct license agreements give brokers greater control over how their listing information and broker and agent attribution show up. Trulia works closely with each partner to address the needs of the MLS, brokers and agents through the direct license agreement.
Brand Protection - Direct feeds ensure consumers see the most up-to-date listing data protecting the broker’s brand and reducing the broker’s liability for inaccurate information.
Greater Lead Quality & Volume - Comprehensive and accurate listings data generate a higher quality and volume of leads.
“By working collaboratively with Trulia, we are able to offer our brokers a secure, reliable, and cost-free choice to share their listings,” Kipp Cooper, CEO of North Alabama Multiple Listing Service Inc. (NALMLS) and the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors (HAAR). “We have delivered great value to our members, freeing them to make their own strategic decisions about how they manage the business and dramatically improved the data accuracy of listings in our marketplace.”
“We’ve experienced rapid broker adoption of MLS-sourced broker direct feeds,” added Chaver. “While our industry continues to debate the needs and desires of the broker community, MLSs that have stepped forward to offer their members a direct distribution choice are seeing great response from their brokers. Trulia Data Connect enables the MLS and their brokers to remain in control while providing the most accurate and timely data to consumers.”
