The Dairy Queen® System Invites Fans to “Bring Home the Bacon”
Fans have a chance to win $5,000 fueling an even greater craving for bacon
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Dairy Queen® system is giving new meaning to the phrase “Bring Home the Bacon.”

To launch the new Bacon Cheeseburger $5 Buck Lunch in July, the DQ® system is announcing a “Bring Home the Bacon” sweepstakes that gives fans a chance to also take home $5,000.
From July 1 through July 31, fans can email a copy of receipts for the purchase of five Bacon Cheeseburger $5 Buck Lunches along with their name and contact information to email@example.com for a chance to win.
The promotion comes as bacon consumption is on the rise, according to a recent article in Burger Business which cites an NPD Group report that servings of bacon in America are up 6 percent in the 12 months ending April 2014. That translates, according to the report, into 1.1 billion servings of bacon over that time period.

The DQ $5 Buck Lunch is available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at participating locations. Fans have a choice for their $5 Buck Lunch of a Bacon Cheeseburger, 3-piece Chicken Strip Lunch or a Chili Cheese Dog, which are all served with fries, a soda and choice of a sundae. For just $1 more, fans also will have the option to upgrade their small sundae to a small Blizzard® Treat, such as Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cup Pie, the featured Blizzard of the Month for July.
