Mouser’s Charitable Giving Recognized by United Way
DALLAS & FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mouser Electronics, Inc., a global authorized distributor of semiconductors and electronic components, has been honored with a top award from United Way of Tarrant County for its successful first year in the charitable program.
“United Way of Tarrant County is overwhelmed by the generosity of Mouser Electronics employees”
Mouser has been named the United Way’s Outstanding New Company of the Year, in part for raising $40,000 for United Way programs in Tarrant County. The fundraising effort in April was Mouser’s first drive to benefit the non-profit organization. Mouser’s Human Resources Manager Cherie Ayala, who spear-headed the fundraising drive, was also honored by the United Way with its New Employee Campaign Manager of the Year Award.
“United Way of Tarrant County is overwhelmed by the generosity of Mouser Electronics employees,” says Tim McKinney, President and CEO of United Way of Tarrant County. “Because of their commitment to the community they call home, more students will graduate on time, families will become financially stable and senior citizens will remain healthy and at home.”
“We here at Mouser always have had a very generous spirit for those in need,” said Paula Holcomb, Mouser Vice President of Human Resources. “This campaign was the perfect example. Nearly 400 employees made donations and it is gratifying when their efforts are appreciated.”
