Lastline Announces Interoperability with HP TippingPoint
Best of breed solutions interoperate to combat against advanced cyber threats
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lastline, Inc., a provider of advanced malware defense technology for enterprise networks, today announced that the Lastline Enterprise product line is now interoperable with the HP TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and the HP TippingPoint Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) via the HP TippingPoint Security Management System (SMS). Leveraging the HP TippingPoint Advanced Threat application programming interface (API), Lastline Enterprise enables customers to create a superior layer of protection that helps prevent advanced malware, including zero-day and advanced persistent threats (APTs).
“To effectively defend against today’s threat landscape, organizations must have access to advanced threat appliances that effectively find advanced malware and APTs, as well as the time and resources necessary to remediate quickly”
“To effectively defend against today’s threat landscape, organizations must have access to advanced threat appliances that effectively find advanced malware and APTs, as well as the time and resources necessary to remediate quickly,” said Rob Greer, vice president and general manager, Network Security, HP. “Collaborating with partners like Lastline, HP can further support our customers in reducing the proliferation of advanced malware within and across their networks.”
In interoperating with HP TippingPoint SMS and HP TippingPoint Next Generation Intrusion Protection System (NGIPS), Lastline Enterprise sensors detect advanced malware on the network and notify the network and security operations teams that a zero-day attack has been identified. Lastline Enterprise API securely communicates with the HP TippingPoint SMS to prevent advanced malware from communicating to command/control systems and spreading across the network.
“The security landscape is constantly changing and evolving with new threats popping up every day,” said Jens Andreassen, chief executive officer at Lastline. “Interoperating with partners like HP allows us to present cutting-edge solutions to our customers, helping them to address the growing concerns facing their businesses and effectively combat today’s advanced malware threats.”
