AtScale Brings Trusted Business Context to Grok
Shared metric definitions and governed computation help enterprise agents use consistent, governed metrics.
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AtScale, a provider of the Universal Semantic Layer for enterprise AI and analytics, today announced that developers and business teams can now build and deploy AI applications with Grok grounded in trusted business definitions, using consistent metrics across applications and agent-driven workflows.
"Our work with SpaceXSI brings that business context directly into the development process. Developers can move quickly, and business teams can trust that the applications they build use the metrics they've agreed on." - Jay Schuren, President of AtScale.

The capability comes as AtScale joins the SpaceX Super Intelligence Partner Network as a Marketplace Partner, connecting Grok's capabilities with AtScale's semantic layer and AI Computation Engine (ACE). Enterprise AI needs business context that database schemas alone cannot provide. A question about revenue, for example, could refer to bookings, recognized revenue, or annual recurring revenue, each with different calculation rules. AtScale makes those definitions available to agents and computes the selected metric using logic the business has approved.
"When Grok adds a revenue metric to an application, it should use the same definition Finance uses in the quarterly report," said Jay Schuren, President of AtScale. "Our work with SpaceXSI brings that business context directly into the development process. Developers can move quickly, and business teams can trust that the applications they build use the metrics they've agreed on."
Grok Build connects to AtScale through AtScale's Model Context Protocol (MCP) server to access metrics, dimensions, and relationships, subject to the user's existing permissions. AtScale Ava clarifies ambiguous business questions before a calculation runs, while ACE computes the answer on the customer's existing data platform. This allows developers to incorporate governed metrics into applications, dashboards, and analytical workflows without recreating business logic for each project.
"Enterprise teams want agents that can work with their data and understand how their business operates," said Toni Adams, Head of Partnerships at SpaceXSI. "AtScale brings established business definitions and governed computation to Grok, helping customers build useful applications and extend agents into everyday business workflows."
The AtScale plugin for Grok Build is available now. Customers with an existing AtScale deployment can install it directly from the marketplace listing to connect Grok Build to their governed metrics and business definitions.
Looking ahead, AtScale and SpaceXSI plan to help more enterprises put AI to work with trusted business context. The collaboration will focus on making consistent, governed metrics a foundation for broader AI adoption and meaningful business results.
