The project will provide new mission-critical aviation infrastructure supporting the U.S. Air Force’s special operations mission at Davis-Monthan. The facility is part of the installation’s ongoing expansion and modernization of special operations capabilities, providing dedicated infrastructure to support MC-130J aircraft operations and maintenance.

The project scope encompasses construction of a two-bay aircraft hangar, including hangar maintenance space, and an aircraft maintenance unit with administrative areas, maintenance shops, and other support spaces. The project also includes a fleet service terminal, covered storage, and aircraft apron and airfield pavement improvements.

“We understand the importance of delivering the right infrastructure to support the Air Force’s special operations mission,” said Carina Branch, Business Development Lead at Conti Federal. “We will bring our experience and lessons learned from similar projects to support this mission. The new facility will support the Air Force’s ability to maintain and operate MC-130J aircraft from Davis-Monthan, providing infrastructure designed around the specialized requirements of the aircraft and its mission.

The project expands Conti Federal’s portfolio of mission-critical facilities and infrastructure supporting U.S. military operations. The company has extensive experience delivering complex aviation and airfield facilities, including the B-21 Fuels System Maintenance Dock and B-21 Phase Maintenance Hangar at Ellsworth AFB, and the recently awarded B-21 RF Hangar at Whiteman AFB. Construction is expected to be completed in April 2029.
