Zones Expands AI Services with Thoughtworks Partnership to Help Customers Turn AI Into Business Results

AUBURN, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Zones, a global technology solutions and services company that helps organizations solve complex IT challenges, has partnered with Thoughtworks, a global technology consultancy that combines design, engineering and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive digital innovation.

“Customers are challenged with figuring out how AI can make a difference in their business,” said Jeff Cobb, SVP, Integrated Solutions, Zones. “They may have pilots underway, but don't always have the strategy, infrastructure, skills or resources to take the next step. Through our partnership with Thoughtworks, we're helping customers identify the right opportunities and then giving them the technology and expertise to turn those opportunities into results that matter to their organization.”

For companies still figuring out where AI fits, Zones provides readiness and strategy workshops, technology modernization, governance planning, data management and use-case development. For organizations ready to put AI to work, Zones offers AI-powered automation, enterprise knowledge assistants, communication agents, customer personalization and other AI-enabled business workflows.

Thoughtworks brings expertise in AI, software development and technology transformation, complementing Zones' existing capabilities, customer relationships and technology partnerships. Together, the companies can help organizations identify high-value AI opportunities, determine what is needed to support them and build solutions designed around specific business processes.

“Our work with Zones to modernize internal systems and transform operations with AI demonstrates how combining domain expertise with modern software engineering can translate complex challenges into measurable business value,” said Craig Stanley, Executive Vice President, Americas at Thoughtworks. “We look forward to building on this partnership by bringing these capabilities to Zones’ customers and helping them turn their AI ambitions into AI that works.”

Zones is Using What it Sells

Zones' own order management initiative with Thoughtworks provides a real-world example of the approach it is bringing to customers.

Complex technology orders can involve different contracts, shipping requirements, billing rules and fulfillment procedures. Customer service managers previously had to manually review orders against customer-specific procedures, sometimes checking as many as 17 different touchpoints on a single order.

“Our enterprise customers trust us to get every order exactly right,” said Saad Ayub, Chief Digital and Innovation Officer, Zones. “We're using AI to make that responsibility easier for our teams, not to take it away from them. By turning customer procedures into actionable guidance, we're helping our people move faster while keeping them firmly in control.”

The AI-powered workflow now reviews the relevant customer requirements, checks the order and recommends what should happen next. Zones employees can see the recommendation, the information behind it and the customer procedure supporting it before approving any change. The result is order verification that previously could take up to a minute can now take approximately 10 to 15 seconds, with the system achieving nearly 90 percent recommendation accuracy.
