National Private Lenders Association Heads to Scottsdale for October Conference and Launches Allied Membership

The NPLA Conference will focus on broker education, capital markets, and technology in business-purpose lending. NPLA will also hold its Association Member Meeting in Scottsdale and introduces a membership path for newer companies.

MARLBORO, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Private Lenders Association (NPLA) will hold the NPLA Conference October 25–27, 2026, at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The conference brings together lenders, brokers, capital providers, service providers, and other professionals in business-purpose real estate lending. Sessions and networking will cover capital markets, emerging technology, and the market trends facing private and nonbank lenders.

Ahead of Scottsdale, NPLA is expanding its programs for industry standards, professional development, and broader participation across the private lending market.

NPLA Private Lending Academy and Certified Broker Course
Applications are open for the NPLA Private Lending Academy's Certified Broker Course.

The course is built for new and experienced brokers. The curriculum covers private lending fundamentals, deal sourcing and management, preparing lender-ready submissions, broker responsibilities and agreements, ethics, fraud and risk prevention, compliance, and state licensing requirements.

The program aims to improve execution between brokers and lenders. Brokers who understand lender expectations, spot risks earlier, structure deals correctly, and submit cleaner packages make broker-lender relationships more efficient.

Certified brokers also join an ongoing community that offers continuing education, industry relationships, real-time feedback on deals, and resources for long-term professional development.

NPLA Association Member Meeting
NPLA will hold its Association Member Meeting during the Scottsdale conference. Members will review the Association's accomplishments, committee work, and plans for the coming year.

The meeting will include updates from NPLA's Best Practices and Ethics, Legislative, Technology, and Membership committees. Topics include developing best practices and ethics standards for private lending, producing industry data such as market sentiment data and monthly market reports, and creating standardized forms for newer lenders.

This work supports NPLA's broader effort to standardize the private lending industry as it continues to grow. Members will also help set the Association's goals and priorities for 2027.

NPLA Allied Membership
NPLA is introducing Allied Membership, a path into the Association for newer companies in business-purpose lending.

Allied Membership is open to newer lenders, brokers, capital providers, title companies, servicers, technology platforms, and other businesses in their early stages. Allied members get access to the NPLA community, education, industry standards, and advocacy without committing to a full Corporate or Associate Membership, so they can join industry conversations and build relationships while their companies grow.

The Certified Broker Course, the Association Member Meeting, Allied Membership, and the NPLA Conference all support the Association's goal of strengthening private lending through education, collaboration, and consistent industry standards.
