Transfix Opens Second Annual Freight Fantasy Football League to the Entire Industry, Benefiting St. Christopher's Truckers Relief Fund

– Now open to anyone in freight and logistics, with $26,200 already raised for the St. Christopher's Truckers Relief Fund before opening kickoff. –

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Transfix, a leading freight technology provider, is bringing the freight community back to the gridiron with the return of its Freight Fantasy Football League, and this year the doors are wide open. The second annual league is available to anyone working in freight and logistics. As of September 2, contributions from ten corporate sponsors, matched by Transfix, have brought the total to $26,200 for the St. Christopher's Truckers Relief Fund.

The St. Christopher's Truckers Relief Fund provides financial assistance and health and wellness programs for over-the-road truck drivers who are unable to work due to illness or injury.

Year one was open to Transfix and its extended network. This year, registration is open to the whole industry: brokers, 3PLs, carriers, shippers, technology providers, and anyone else who moves freight for a living. Rather than pitting one segment against another, the league is structured as a single collaborative effort, with corporate sponsors, players, and individual donors all feeding one pool that goes to the Fund. Donations remain open through Super Bowl Sunday, and 100% of proceeds benefit St. Christopher's.

"Truck Driver Appreciation Week is my favorite week of the year, and this league is what I look forward to most," said Jenni Ruiz, Head of Marketing & PR at Transfix. "All year, people kept coming up to me at conferences asking when the next one was. That told us the ceiling wasn't the interest, it was the invite. So this year we're not gatekeeping it: if you work in freight, you're invited. The more people who join, the bigger the check St. Christopher's gets."

"If there's one lesson that stood out over the last year, it's that the industry moves forward faster when we work together," said Jonathan Salama, CEO and Co-founder of Transfix. "Football, the freight community, and giving back to the people who keep our industry running - that combination worked in year one, and we wanted to make it bigger. Partnering with St. Christopher's Fund is an incredible opportunity to have fun while making a meaningful impact. We hope you'll join us."

Transfix and St. Christopher Trucking Relief Fund extend their thanks to the corporate sponsors backing this year's league, including Allen Lund Company, BWS Logistics, Chain, Corporate Traffic Logistics, DAT, HYWAY Transportation, NFI Industries, Optimus, OTR Solutions, R+L Global Logistics, and Sheer Logistics, whose support helps ensure professional drivers have somewhere to turn when illness or injury takes them off the road.

"On behalf of the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund, we are grateful to Transfix for bringing this league back and opening it up to the entire industry," said Diane Hutsell, Executive Director and Director of Philanthropy at the St. Christopher's Truckers Relief Fund. "Every dollar raised goes directly toward making sure professional drivers have support when illness or injury takes them off the road. It's a genuinely fun way to make a real difference, and we'd love to see the whole freight community in the standings."

How it works

The league is hosted on Splash Sports, the same platform returning participants used last year. Registration remains open through the opening weekend of the NFL regular season, which kicks off Wednesday, September 9, when the New England Patriots visit the defending champion Seattle Seahawks, giving late arrivals a chance to get in the game.

Donations are open to everyone, whether or not you field a fantasy team, and 100% of proceeds benefit the St. Christopher's Truckers Relief Fund. The fundraiser will accept donations through Super Bowl Sunday on February 14, 2027.

About Transfix

Transfix, Inc. is a freight technology company that builds the transportation management system (TMS) freight brokers and 3PLs run their business on. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in New York, Transfix spent a decade operating its own brokerage before licensing that software to the market, including to NFI. The Transfix TMS connects quoting, booking, tracking, and billing in one platform, with AI cost models underneath every price and built-in RFP automation, carrier vetting, and broker accounting. Customer data stays proprietary: models are built per broker and never pooled or anonymized across the market. Learn more at transfix.io.
