Cambium Learning Group Honored by the 2026 Digiday WorkLife Awards and Corporate Counsel Awards

Edtech leader’s People Experience and Legal teams recognized as HR Team of the Year, Best Employer for Remote Employees finalist, and Outstanding In-House Innovator

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cambium Learning Group, the education essentials company, announced that both its People Experience (PX) and Legal teams have been awarded for their outstanding work over the last year.

2026 Digiday WorkLife Awards
Cambium’s People Experience (PX) team won “HR Team of the Year” for the second consecutive year at the WorkLife Awards, presented by Digiday. The company was also named a finalist in the “Best Employer for Remote Employees” category, and Chief People Officer Melissa Yates May is a “People/HR Leader of the Year” finalist.

"We’re honored to be recognized again by the WorkLife Awards,” said Yates May. “This recognition reflects the culture we’re intentionally building at Cambium and the incredible dedication of our PX team. At Cambium, we believe people do their best work in environments grounded in trust, flexibility and care, and our PX team works every day to turn those values into lived experiences for our employees. From how we communicate and collaborate to how we support balance, our goal is simple: create a workplace where people feel valued as humans first. I’m deeply grateful to our executive team for championing this people-first approach and to our employees, whose passion and authenticity make our culture come to life.”

Cambium’s PX team is focused on creating the conditions for employees to thrive so the organization can deliver meaningful impact at scale and ensure all employees feel seen, valued and supported. By advancing workplace flexibility, gender equity, leadership capability and diverse and inclusive work practices, the PX team enables employees to focus their energy on the creative and innovative work that drives Cambium forward.

2026 Corporate Counsel Awards
Cambium Legal, led by Ryan Brown, Chief Legal Officer of Cambium Learning Group, won “Outstanding In-House Innovator - Department” at the 2026 Corporate Counsel Awards, presented by the Association of Corporate Counsel National Capital Region (ACC NCR). For more than two decades, ACC NCR has recognized exceptional in-house legal professionals and departments for their work and leadership.

“This recognition from ACC NCR is a great honor for our team,” said Brown. “Our Legal department is committed to delivering thoughtful, forward-thinking counsel that supports Cambium's purpose, and this award reflects the high standard of professionalism and innovation our team brings to that work every day."

The Cambium Legal team provides comprehensive legal counsel and support across the organization, managing contracts, compliance, intellectual property and risk mitigation to protect the company's interests as it develops and delivers educational products and services. This recognition was awarded based on the Legal team’s effective delegation of brand enforcement to AI, incorporation of AI-powered research and writing through CoCounsel, and vibe coding of agentic AI chatbots for legal billing and routine policy questions.

“These awards are well-deserved recognition of the important work our People Experience and Legal teams lead everyday to help us live our purpose: Ensuring every teacher and student feels seen, valued and supported,” said Ashley Andersen Zantop, Chairman and CEO of Cambium Learning Group. “We’re honored and proud to see their work recognized. Making a meaningful impact for the communities we serve starts with the community we cultivate at Cambium — one that prioritizes support and belonging for our teams, encourages and celebrates innovation, and understands that our people and their work are instrumental in the outcomes we create for students, teachers and families.”
