MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Velocity FBO Network (“Velocity”), a premier North American network of fixed-base operators (“FBOs”) backed by Tallvine Partners (“Tallvine”), today announced the acquisition of SkyPlace FBO (“SkyPlace”), a leading FBO serving San Antonio International Airport (KSAT) in Texas. The acquisition marks Velocity’s sixth location and expands the platform’s presence in a key general aviation market, further advancing its strategy of building a premier and geographically diversified North American FBO platform.
“SkyPlace is a leading FBO in the San Antonio market, with significant hangar and ramp capacity and a team that has built a strong reputation for exceptional customer service,” said Chad Farishon, Chief Executive Officer of Velocity FBO Network. “We are excited to welcome SkyPlace to the Velocity network and build on its strong foundation through continued investment in its people, facilities, and long-term growth.”
Located at San Antonio International Airport, SkyPlace offers 24/7 fuel service and comprehensive ground support, complemented by hangar and office space to accommodate aircraft ranging from single turbines to large-cabin jets. The facility features a recently renovated lounge and lobby with state-of-the-art modern finishes, a covered entrance for weather protection, easy highway access, and an on-site U.S. Customs and Border Protection Federal Inspection Station. These features, together with SkyPlace’s location at San Antonio International Airport, make it an ideal gateway for general aviation and international operators traveling through South Texas.
“San Antonio is a significant general aviation market, making SkyPlace a strategic fit for Velocity and a natural expansion of our platform,” said Mark Clark, Partner at Tallvine Partners. “We remain committed to expanding Velocity’s footprint in attractive aviation markets in the months ahead while maintaining the service, safety, and operational standards that define a best-in-class national FBO platform.”
