Mr. Andrade brings to Metrie deep experience across finance, strategy and business development, including investor relations, research, and mergers and acquisitions. He previously served as CFO and Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Teekay Tankers, a NYSE-listed global organization, and the largest publicly listed company in its asset class. There, he helped build one of the strongest balance sheets in the industry, increasing liquidity while significantly reducing debt and ultimately achieving a substantial net cash position.

“Stewart brings to Metrie an excellent combination of skills and experience, well beyond finance. He has led major global business development initiatives, secured long-term commercial agreements that generated meaningful earnings growth, established international operating structures, and worked extensively with investors, analysts, banks, boards, and executive leadership teams around the world,” commented Kent Bowie, Chief Executive Officer, Metrie. “His track record of growing shareholder value, prudent capital allocation, and managing operational excellence will help deliver on our vision to be the most trusted millwork company in North America. Moreover, his collaborative leadership style and ability to build high performance teams will create further alignment across Metrie, as we continue to grow.”

“The Company is an industry leader, and I am looking forward to working with the commercial, functional and ownership teams to continue the success and growth of Metrie in my new role,” commented Mr. Andrade.

“This careful transition speaks to the maturity of Metrie’s governance model; and I would like to thank Jeremy for his thoughtful and active participation through the recruitment process,” continued Mr. Bowie. “Jeremy has provided steady leadership, strong financial stewardship, and an unwavering commitment to our people, partners, and shareholders throughout his seven years at Metrie. His expertise and leadership have been instrumental in helping guide us through a period of significant growth and transformation, while building a strong and highly capable Finance organization. We wish him a long and enjoyable retirement.”
