Eterna Growth Partners Strengthens AI Leadership with the Appointment of Brett Eddy as AI CTO Advisor

The technology industry veteran joins Eterna to drive AI initiatives across the firm’s portfolio, reinforcing its long-term commitment to technology-driven value creation

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eterna Growth Partners (“Eterna”), a private equity firm specializing in middle-market technology investments, today announced the appointment of its newest Advisory Director, Brett Eddy as AI CTO Advisor. In this role, Eddy will lead Eterna’s efforts to drive AI adoption across its portfolio, with a particular focus on R&D and engineering functions, where the ability to effectively deploy AI tooling is critical to maintaining product and competitive leadership.

Eddy will work directly with portfolio company teams to develop and share best practices, benchmark productivity, and build frameworks to address common adoption challenges, all while helping ensure the technology these teams build remains secure, compliant, and capable of meeting the demands of increasingly sophisticated customers.

Eddy most recently served as Executive Director of Technology at Palo Alto Strategy Group where he led technology diligence and value-creation assessments for private equity firms and strategic acquirers around the world. Across his over 25-year technology career, he has evaluated more than 200 software acquisition opportunities, led or participated in over 150 technology diligence and value creation engagements, and advised on transactions representing more than $25 billion in aggregate enterprise value. Eddy has worked closely with Eterna's investment team on multiple occasions, including diligence on several of the firm's current portfolio companies, giving him firsthand familiarity with the businesses he will now support.
