BNSF Railway’s Todd Podell Joins Board of Venti Technologies

Vice President & Chief Sourcing Officer brings strong record in supply chain strategy, sourcing, and procurement

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Venti Technologies, a leader in autonomous vehicle logistics for industrial yards and logistics hubs, today announced that Todd Podell, BNSF Railway’s Vice President and Chief Sourcing Officer, has joined Venti’s Board of Directors.

Podell leads the railroad’s enterprise-wide sourcing, procurement, supply chain strategy, facilities operations, and fuel management. In his role at BNSF, North America’s leading railroad, which operates a network of 32,500 route miles in 28 states and three Canadian provinces, Podell oversees supplier strategy and management, as well as assessment of new supplier technologies. He also leads a focus on leveraging supplier spend across the BNSF and Berkshire Hathaway organization.

Prior to BNSF, Podell held senior executive leadership roles at Discover Financial Services, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement and Corporate Services Officer. In addition, Podell held leadership roles in business transformation and supply chain at Novartis, McDonald’s, and AMD.

He began his professional career as a trial attorney after earning a bachelor's degree in business at Arizona State University and a law degree at Marquette University Law School.
