Witherite Law Group Awards $425,000 in Scholarships to Hundreds of Students

Scholarship program demonstrates strong growth, retention, and community impact across key markets

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--1-800-TruckWreck, powered by Witherite Law Group, is announcing the successful conclusion of its 2025–2026 scholarship season, awarding $425,000 in scholarships to 170 high school students across Dallas–Fort Worth, Atlanta, and Chicago. Each student received a $2,500 scholarship that is eligible for annual renewal to support their continued education and future goals. The program is possible thanks to long-standing school partnerships and strong student engagement.

Since its inception, Witherite Law Group’s scholarship program continues to have high engagement. This year, 167 past recipients have already begun the renewal process, signaling high retention and sustained connection to the program.

Program Highlights by Market

Dallas–Fort Worth

School: Paul L. Dunbar High School; partner since 2014

Total recipients: 49

Dunbar High School remains one of the program’s most consistent and high-performing partners, with strong application volume and engagement year after year. Multiple recipients have also earned additional academic scholarships, underscoring the strength of the student body.

Atlanta

School: South Atlanta High School; partner since 2019

Total recipients: 75

Atlanta marked the program’s largest cohort this year, reflecting exceptional participation and engagement. Several recipients are balancing academic achievement with extracurricular excellence, including track and field competitions that coincided with the awards ceremony. Many students have also secured additional athletic, band, and academic scholarships.

Chicago

School: Leo High School; new partner for 2025–2026

Total recipients: 20

As a new partner, Leo High School made an immediate impact with a strong inaugural cohort. Notably, five scholarship recipients are members of the acclaimed Leo Choir, a finalist on “America’s Got Talent.” These students participated in interviews virtually while traveling to Washington, D.C. for a special performance.

School: Dunbar Vocational Career Academy; partner since 2024

Total recipients: 21

Students from Dunbar Vocational Career Academy represent a wide range of post-secondary pathways and career interests. The selected recipients demonstrated outstanding commitment throughout the scholarship process. Additional engagement efforts are already underway to increase participation in the upcoming cycle.

Organization: St. Sabina Catholic Church; partner since 2023

Total recipients: 5

This smaller, close-knit cohort reflects the strength of a deeply rooted community partnership, with students supported by a strong local network.

Looking Ahead

Building on this year’s success, Witherite Law Group is planning expanded outreach and engagement efforts for the upcoming scholarship cycle, particularly in newer partner schools and communities.
