Amtech Systems to be Added to the Russell 3000® and Russell 2000® Indexes

TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Amtech Systems, Inc. ("Amtech") (NASDAQ: ASYS), a manufacturer of equipment and consumables enabling AI semiconductor device packaging and advanced substrate fabrication, today announced that it is set to join the broad-market Russell 3000 Index and the small-cap Russell 2000 Index at the conclusion of the Russell US Indexes annual reconstitution, effective after the US equity markets open on June 29, 2026, according to a preliminary list of additions posted by FTSE Russell on May 22, 2026 as part of the first 2026 Russell indexes reconstitution.

The June reconstitution of the Russell US indexes captures up to the 4,000 largest US stocks as of April 30, ranking them by total market capitalization. Membership in the Russell 3000 Index, which remains in place for half a year beginning 2026, means automatic inclusion in the small-cap Russell 2000 Index as well as the appropriate growth and value style indexes. FTSE Russell determines membership for its Russell indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes.

“The preliminary inclusion in the Russell 3000 and 2000 Indexes -- determined before our oversubscribed capital raise in early June -- marks a pivotal milestone for Amtech,” said Mr. Bob Daigle, Chief Executive Officer of Amtech. “The inclusion serves as a testament to our continued commitment to driving value for our shareholders. We appreciate the investment community recognizing our successful 2-year turnaround, our continued profitable growth, and our position as the global standard for AI semiconductor packaging and advanced substrate fabrication technologies.”

Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies. According to data as of the end of June 2025, about $12.2 trillion in assets are benchmarked against the Russell US indexes, which belong to FTSE Russell, the global index provider. For more information on the Russell 3000® Index and the Russell indexes reconstitution, go to the “Russell Reconstitution” section on the FTSE Russell website.
