KarmaCheck Expands Bullhorn Integration with Intelligent Credential Ordering, Expiration Alerts, and AI-Powered Credentialing Automation
New functionality helps staffing firms order the right checks, catch expiring credentials, and manage candidate compliance directly inside Bullhorn
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KarmaCheck, the modern background check and credentialing platform, today announced a major expansion of its Bullhorn integration ahead of the 2026 Bullhorn Engage Conference. The enhanced integration adds intelligent credential ordering, expiration alerts, and AI-powered document processing, all delivered through the KarmaCheck tab within the Bullhorn platform.
The new functionality builds on KarmaCheck’s industry-leading Bullhorn integration by making the ordering and credentialing workflow even more proactive, transparent, and compliance-ready.

KarmaCheck’s Bullhorn integration already allows staffing teams to order background checks and screenings, view real-time candidate status, sync completed results and credential documents to Bullhorn’s credential module, and manage candidate screening data from a dedicated KarmaCheck tab inside every Bullhorn placement and candidate record. In addition, candidate information captured in Bullhorn is automatically populated into KarmaCheck onboarding fields, including employment and education history, reducing duplicate entry, minimizing friction, and speeding up the candidate onboarding experience. The new functionality builds on KarmaCheck’s industry-leading Bullhorn integration by making the ordering and credentialing workflow even more proactive, transparent, and compliance-ready.
“Staffing teams need more than a basic ATS connection,” said Erin McCarthy, Sr. Director of Product at KarmaCheck. “They need an integration that understands the placement, knows what is required, explains what needs to happen next, and catches issues before they slow down a start date. That is what we delivered with this release.”
A closer look at the new functionality:
Intelligent ordering now reads each Bullhorn placement and automatically recommends the right screening package based on role, client, and state. Credentials expiring within 45 days trigger a re-order recommendation, and recruiters can see the reason behind every suggestion directly in the ordering flow. No more guesswork at the point of order!
Expiration alerts surface expired credentials and deselection warnings before any order is submitted, catching gaps before a client flags them or an audit reveals them.
The Document Processing Agent is available now and works automatically through the existing KarmaCheck tab, no new setup, contracts, or logins required. It reads incoming credential documents, identifies document type, extracts the relevant fields, and updates Bullhorn's credential module without manual re-entry. The Document Processing Agent is part of the KarmaCheck AI Workforce, a suite of digital workers from KarmaCheck. Additional AI agents for document follow-up and credential renewal are planned for release later this year.
For existing KarmaCheck-Bullhorn customers, the new features can be enabled now and don’t require any new integration. For new customers, these automation tools become available with a one-time integration and can be enabled the same day.
KarmaCheck will continue expanding its Bullhorn integration with additional functionality designed to help staffing teams automate manual credentialing work, improve compliance visibility, and move candidates through the hiring process faster.
KarmaCheck will demonstrate the new Bullhorn capabilities at Bullhorn Engage taking place May 27-28 in Boston, where attendees can see enhanced intelligent ordering, expiration alerts, and AI-powered credentialing workflows live.
